One case that we are particularly proud of among many is the case of Don vs. Unum. This is a complex federal class action case where policyholders claimed that they were denied their insurance benefits. After receiving the personal time and attention offered at Christopher C. Vader PC, a $46 million settlement was obtained, providing relief to each class member in all fifty states.

Mr. Vader’s Proudest Moment - Don v. UNUM

This case was a class action that put a full recovery in the pockets of persons who required long term care. In that incredibly complex federal class action with class members in all fifty states, Puerto Rico, Guam and the Virgin Islands, Mr. Vader was appointed national lead co-counsel. By working with a colleague who was a first year associate with Mr. Vader many years ago and his partner, the three Musketeers took on a legal time that at times swelled to five or six lawyers. The case was thought to be the largest insurance claims class action for the year and the largest ever for that line of insurance. But the best part is that after fees, some of out most vulnerable fellow countrymen and women got every penny they claimed that they lost.
